Termite Bond- A Contract That You Need

Over the years, with housing and residential areas expanding, neighborhoods and other housing projects have infringed more and more on the natural habitats of termites. As a result, nature and mankind collide- indirectly resulting in a necessity for the termite bond. Termites, as you may or may not know, have the potential to wreak havoc on your home, causing into the tens of thousands of dollars in repairs alone. Furthermore, this is no isolated incident. Across the United States, termites cost homeowners hundreds of millions of dollars each year. Yet with the help of a termite bond, all of these incredible expenses can be avoided, saving you and your family from an unnecessary financial burden.

Before I get into termite bonds, I need to clarify a common misconception people have. Termite bonds are not the same thing as termite letters. Termite letters are simple notices that pest extermination companies give their clients after an inspection, stating the level of termite inhabitance and resulting damage that has been done to the client's property. Termite bonds on the other hand, are signed and sealed "termite contracts" that homeowners can enter into with their extermination company. Basically, after the first round of extermination, companies offer their clients the termite bond- an insurance of sorts. These termite bonds state that the company has cleared the premises of all termites, and if they return, the company will take care of the infestation and resulting damage without charging a fee. They are basically honoring the client's loyalty to their company.

However, the termite bond does not come free. In exchange for the termite bond and future protection against termites, clients will have to pay a sum, and then a small annual fee. If you are hesitating due to the fees that you will be obliged to pay upon entering this contract, let me warn you: the cost of home repairs after a termite infestation far outweighs the cost of those small fees. Termite bonds- pay a little now, thank me later.
